Days 1-2: The Complete D-Day Experience
Most D-Day tours rush through in a single day. We dedicate
two full days to honor the significance of June 6, 1944. Day
1 focuses on the American sector, Omaha Beach, the American
Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, Pointe du Hoc, and the
Overlord Museum. Day 2 explores the British and Canadian
sectors, Gold Beach, Juno Beach, Arromanches with its
Mulberry harbor remains, and Pegasus Bridge. You'll also
visit the magnificent Bayeux Tapestry, understanding the
region's history from William the Conqueror to WWII.
Day 3: Coastal Splendor
Experience the dramatic Alabaster Coast, Étretat's
spectacular white chalk cliffs and natural arches that
inspired Monet and Maupassant. Continue to Honfleur, the
enchanting harbor town that captivated the Impressionists.
End the day at Deauville and Trouville, the glamorous Belle
Époque beach resorts where Parisians have escaped for over a
century.
Day 4: Rouen - Capital of Normandy
Discover the medieval capital that Monet painted 30 times.
The Gothic cathedral that inspired his famous series, the
Gros-Horloge astronomical clock, half-timbered streets, and
the square where Joan of Arc was martyred. Rouen offers a
fascinating urban contrast to the coastal and rural
landscapes of previous days.
Day 5: Giverny & Return to Paris
Your final day celebrates the artistic heart of Normandy.
Claude Monet's house and gardens at Giverny, the water
lilies, Japanese bridge, and flower gardens that inspired
his revolutionary masterpieces. After lunch, a relaxed drive
returns you to Paris, enriched by the complete Normandy
experience.
